Sarah and I had an amazing night filled with optimism to kick off 2015. 2014 was incredible in so many ways, but it was definitely challenging as well. We needed to turn our frowns upside-down, which is when I told her we should make a “Wish Jar.”
In this jar, we fill it with our wishes, dreams, goals, and positive things that have happened to us throughout the year. The next year, we will reunite and go over everything in the jar and put new wishes and dreams inside for the following year.
We limited ourselves on the amount of wishes and goals because we don’t want to set ourselves up for failure. For example, my mom wishes everyday she will win the lottery. Next year, she will not win the lottery. We don’t want to read our wishes and goals and cry because we didn’t accomplish any of it.
This was a great way to end the year because not only did Sarah and I bond over creating the jar, but we bonded over the fact that we had to craft at a restaurant. We live so far apart, that we needed a middle ground to do it.
Here is what you will need:
- Tape- Note please do not tape until you know exactly where you want to place all your decorations. I did that even though I said not to and Sarah’s was much more precise.
- Jar Decorations
- Scrapbook paper
Here’s our final product and it’s not too late to do it! Of course, our jars would not be complete without glitter and pandas.
